Year
2022-present
The Gender Matters Speakers Series needed a new brand concept and templates (poster, square graphic, website graphic, story graphic) that would visually link all of their events throughout the year. I came up with the concept of “fake” gender symbols, which would point to the arbitrariness of all gender symbols, and all gender constructs. I created a pattern out of these symbols, which could then be used to brand multiple events consistently by simply changing colour. The symbols have now taken on a wider meaning for the Department, and will remain in use after the current year’s Speakers Series have ended.
